Have A Seat
“But by the grace of God I am what I am, and His grace to me was not without effect. No, I worked harder than all of them—yet not I, but the grace of God that was with me.”
1 Corinthians 15:10
When I read this scripture I am reminded of all that God has done and brought me through. In the scripture before, the Apostle Paul was making a statement simply saying I don’t deserve to be where I am because of my past. When we come to Jesus we begin to experience His grace upon our lives. It’s not something that could be earned- it’s His grace! If we want to continue to serve God and grow deeper in the things of God we need to remember that it was by His grace because we didn’t deserve it. God has given us so much and we shouldn’t take it for granted. And because it’s undeserved it then becomes a privilege!
Salvation is a privilege
“For it has been granted to you on behalf of Christ not only to believe in Him, but also to suffer for Him.”
Philippians 1:29 NIV
Knowing Jesus we must remember that it was him who saved us! It’s such a privilege, many of us should be living a life with no future, no hope and no purpose but because His grace. Even to the simplest things like having family, a good job, to the very breath in our lungs- it was all by His grace. Thank you Jesus while we were yet in our sins you still loved us!
The Call of God is a privilege
“But the angel said to her, “Do not be afraid, Mary; you have found favor with God.”
Luke 1:30 NIV
God hand selects us to do his work here on the Earth. Whether it’s Mary who found favor with God or the Apostle Paul who felt that he was unworthy of the call to be an apostle. We could never forget that it was God who called us who places us at the seat we sit in. We could never forget what a privilege it is to serve in the ministry.
