Rise Up! and Go to Him for Rest

“And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose.” Romans 8:28 NKJV

“Why are you cast down, O my soul? And why are you disquieted within me? Hope in God, for I shall yet praise Him For the help of His countenance.” Psalm 42:5 NKJV

You know, sometimes on this journey it can get to being a little too much for us as Christians, and we can become weary. But we must not be ashamed of exhaustion. Instead, we should see it as an opportunity for the Lord to take charge of our lives.

Remember that it is God who can fit everything into a pattern for good, including the things we wish were different. Let’s begin to start with where we are at this point in time and space, excepting that this is where God intends us to be. We can get through today one step, one moment at a time. Our main responsibility is to remain attentive to Him, letting Him guide us through the many choices along our path way.

I know it sounds like an easy assignment, but it isn’t. Our desire to live in God’s presence goes against the grain of the world, the flesh, and the devil. Much of our weariness results from our constant battle against these opponents. However we are on the path of His choosing, so we must not give up! But instead we must Rise up! And Hope in Him, for we will again praise Him for the help of His presence.
